About SCEDC FOOD WORKS
The Food Works program is a grant funded program developed in cooperation with
jurisdictions and non-profit organizations throughout Siskiyou County with funding from the
California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and USDA RD grant
programs. The program is coordinated and operated by the Siskiyou County Economic
Development Council.
Officially registered as PACIFIC WEST FOODWORKS, the program is commonly known as the
Food Works. It is designed to assist low income entrepreneurs to fulfill their dreams of
becoming business owners in the commercial food industry.
We are dedicated to achieving the utmost in food safety and quality in our program and take
every measure to guide entrepreneurs to success. We are building an industry one jar and
bottle at a time!
